The Molasses Act

2 oz rum (Prichard's in this case, but works well with heavier bodied rums also, like Hamilton 86)

1/2 oz molasses syrup (recipe from the Smuggler's Cove book)

1/2 oz fresh squeezed lemon juice

1/2 oz water

Combine in an old-fashioned glass or a metal tumbler. Stir and sip.
