Spanish for "danger", the Peligro is a daiquiri made with the Lost Spirits Cuban inspired 151 rum, fresh lime juice, and falernum. Hear more about it in episode 37 and maybe try this instead of a vodka martini the next time you watch a Bond flick.
It's Wednesday, and near 9PM, so here's a toast to Ray Buhen, the Master Ninja of Tiki-Ti. The Cuba Kula, published by Jeff Berry in Sippin' Safari, is a Ray Buhen original from the 1930s. 2 oz of lime juice is a lot to contend with, so I used 1 oz of honey mix instead of 0.5 oz of straight honey and added 0.25 of demerara syrup. To Ray!
The Kava Bowl is a Trader Vic's communal bowl cocktail recipe from the 1940s. The recipe can be found the in Trader Vic's Tiki Party! book, among other locations (like the Total Tiki app for iOS). The vessel is the new Ocean Debris bowl from Munktiki Imports, designed by Miles from from Munktiki and Doug Horne.
